Sony used this ‘Pretty in Pink’ film to launch their new micro MV range of camcorders among marketers, dealers, agents and salespeople.
The campaign was designed to increase the level of understanding about the products, their selling points and their potential use. It also aimed to show the products as part of a modern lifestyle, while encapsulating the spirit of Sony: ‘looks different, acts different’.
The story involves a sly journalist surreptitiously filming an affair between a rock star and a young starlet using his micro camcorder.
