The Bank’s campaign for Pilsner Urquell launched on the evening of Friday 20th May 2011 when their animation was previewed at the European Beer Bloggers Conference in London.
The animation brings to life the legend of “The Day Pilsen Struck Gold” from The Book of Legends, a collection of intriguing true stories from Pilsner Urquell’s history. This first story describes how the finest of ingredients were married with passion and expertise to create the world’s first golden beer – a precious discovery.
The animation was part of a broader campaign by The Bank. It was animated by Second Home Studios who specialise in stop-motion and 2D animation. Post-production and the development of the music were handled in-house by The Bank.
